I Keep Going

I.

I’m on the 30 under 30, of those who never got it right

On the first, or second, third, and fourth try

Luck was never by our side.

II.

By now should be having babies, be well into the married life,

I should have found the man of my dreams

And my career’s all figured out.

Chorus.

So I’m sorry, I’m not on the winning team

Of this race that’s, made for someone not like me.

I’m still on the camp, of figuring out

On my own lane, and on my own pace

Making mistakes, but learning with grace

And I keep going.

III.

Was accused of many thi-ings, I’m stubborn, dumb, and oh so slow

I’ve been compared to everybody

So now I do it on my own.

IV.

Told that I should just be pretty, and find a man to rescue me

But all of them have left and broke me

Now I’m trusting nobody.

(Repeat chorus)

Bridge.

Stop pressuring me, I do enough of that

And stop listening, to what they say I’m and I’m not

I keep going, I keep going, even when I don’t know where I’m going

I keep going, I keep going, I keep go…

(Repeat chorus)
